CANWAY has completed the development project “CW-131 Optical Transmission Unit” together with a large automotive OEM. The requirements to be resolved included bidirectional transmissions across whole bus systems such as FlexRay, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet over long distances up to 500 m. Amongst others, it is used to network approval tests of control units on HiL test benches.
About one year after opening its new company building in Ostbevern in Münsterland, Germany, CANWAY, is planning to increase the size of its production areas. Increased demand for solutions in HiL test bench engineering applications has driven the necessity to expand its buildings. In addition to component test benches CANWAY also builds complete subsystem test benches and offers a comprehensive range of services from troubleshooting analyses to drawing up concepts through to maintenance of test benches on site at customer locations.
Many users in laboratory environments or in automation engineering make use of high-precision digital multimeters when working on new developments or striving to eliminate faults in their precision electronics. CANWAY has further developed the bidirectional CAN-Ethernet gateway CW-102 and also implemented the interface “Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments protocol“ (SCPI).
With its CW-300 series CANWAY offers a modular platform for testing and automating engineering tasks including, for example, for HiL test benches. In addition to D/A converters, current sinks and relay controls the series has been extended with the addition of an A/D converter, a module for current measurements, a signal multiplexer (e.g. for CAN and FlexRay™) as well as a signal FIU.
To be able to further grow its services in the field of developing test benches CANWAY technology GmbH has opened new facilities in Ostbevern near Münster in Germany. Project teams made up from hardware and software development engineers now have space in the approx. 900 m² office and workshop building to realize innovative and customer-specific concepts and solutions. More than 270 m² of additional workshop space is now available to build test benches.
With the opening of its new company headquarters in Ostbevern near Münster, Germany, CANWAY technology GmbH is expanding its network of locations. As a medium-sized company operating in the electronics branch of industry we offer system designs from a single source supplier: From the concept phase to developing prototypes and realizing completed systems through to series production and intensive after-sales support - CANWAY is a competent partner for your development project.
