The CW-386 Power FIU (Failure Injection Unit) is used to inject physical faults, such as open circuits or short circuits, into lines during the testing of control units. A total of twelve FIU channels are available for this purpose. Ten of these channels (DUT channels) are used to connect a Device Under Test (DUT) to its test bench (TB). To do this, the DUT is connected to the DUT side of a channel and the peripherals to the TB side. The connection between the DUT and TB can be disconnected via the CW-386 to simulate open circuits.
Frequently required reference potentials, such as ground or supply voltage, can be fed into the device via two additional auxiliary (AUX) channels.
This is another module in test bench technology that can be used in automated test environments on HiL test benches.
